Felix ACS is a product responsible for the automatic configuration of the CPEs (local client computers).ACS is the acronym of Auto Configuration Server. It works using the technical standard of the Broadband Forum.
It allows the creation of templates, to provision equipment in different ways, depending on the model and its technical characteristics.
Provisioning “Zero Touch”:
The way it works is as follows. The CPE discovers the ACS through DHCP and connects to it. The ACS
then proceeds to send the CPE the relevant configuration parameters.
These parameters can be various:
• Firmware updates.
• Parameters related to VoIP, such as sip_username, sip_password, etc.
• Parámetros related to WiFi such as, username and password, SSID, channel, etc.
Periodic reconfiguration:
The ACS can periodically check the configuration of the CPE, thus discovering changes made, and reconfigure them, if programmed to do so.
Architecture and design:
Thanks to incorporated REST API, the ACS can be easily integrated with other solutions. Its architecture permits it to be
installed as an independent and virtualized module, allowing for comfortable scaling according to the evolution of the network and the business.
