The Nokia Lightspan MF-2 is a high-capacity software-defined fiber access node (optical line terminal) designed to power next-generation massive scale access networks. Its performance and form-factor make it suitable for a variety of deployment scenarios: mobile transport; residential services; pre-aggregation of remote access nodes; and delivery of business services to hotels, stadiums, office buildings, etc.

Lightspan MF-2 supports Multi-PON mode to deliver GPON and XGS-PON services from a single port. Based on the Nokia Quillion chipset, it has unmatched low-latency capabilities enabling operators to use existing fiber assets for efficient 5G anyhaul.
