The Service Engineer is tasked with implementing a great China service strategy mainly for the evolving Vytran fiber processing product lines, as well as other Thorlabs product lines. The candidate who has an understanding of the fiber industry, and fiber processing experience is preferred. Although the location of the position is in Shanghai, China, a moderate amount of travel is required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Mainly provides technical and engineering support to customers in Chinese Mainland of installation, maintenance, trouble shooting, sample preparation & technical support.
主要为中国大陆客户提供安装、维护、故障排除、样品制备和技术支持等服务
2.System acceptance test on customer site.
在客户现场进行系统验收测试
3.Customer call and remote support.
客户打电话求助时提供远程支持
4.Operator training at customer sites and demo lab.
在客户现场和演示实验室进行操作人员的培训
5.Generation and maintenance of relevant service documentation
撰写和维护相关服务文档
6.Gather market information during the service and feedback to responsible sales.
服务期间收集市场信息，并反馈给负责的销售
7.Execute customer return visit together with sales manager for the marketing purpose.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1.Minimum 2 years hands-on experience operating, maintaining and servicing fiber processing equipment including splicers, cleavers, and recoaters is a plus
