本人刚刚做关于WLAN的工程设计，对于接触到的入墙式瘦AP跟入墙式胖AP的功能和用途不太了解，有哪位资深人士可以解答吗？

入墙式瘦AP跟入墙式胖AP说到底还是AP，相信AP的功能你应该已经清楚，就是用来做无线接入的，将无线信号和有线网络进行转换。<div>入墙式只是产品形态，直接安装在墙上，用来做酒店等场景的小范围覆盖，功率一般较小。</div><div>瘦AP和胖AP之间的区别在于，瘦AP一般是由AC（接入控制器）统一进行控制的的，一般需要配合AC使用，不适合单独工作，而胖AP则类似于家用路由器，直接通过web等方式进行配置，独立工作。</div><div>一般在做试点或是用量较小时可以使用胖AP，但当AP的量较大时一般推荐使用瘦AP，因为使用AC统一进行管理能大幅降低维护成本。</div>

我本身就是做无线产品的安装，在实际使用中，发现也就是软件上的区别，曾经，我将自己修改过带管理功能的固件写入不带管理功能的AP中，结果，瘦AP完全与胖AP功能一致，且正常使用，只是，在大量这样操作后，有部分设备（在不同场所），改装后的瘦AP，出现了不同程度的假死，重新启动一下就OK了，所以，我在软件管理页面，增加了一个验证机制，当无法与某一个IP无法通讯时，自动重启，之后，瘦AP也达到了胖AP的功能。后期，开始使用工业级芯片后，也就不考虑什么胖瘦了，一律都是完整功能的AP，也就是一律都是胖AP了。毕竟，胖AP的PPPOE包括DHCP功能，在集中管理上，会很大程度减轻主服务器的压力，呵呵
